The mission of TMR Group, Inc. is to minister to and professionally equip graduate professionals to better prepare them to lead as servants of Jesus Christ and to bring God’s light and love into their schools, their communities and their vocation.
TMR Group, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that encourages and assists committed professionals at the graduate level to become positive agents for change. There is a force for the greater good in a generation that wants to give back rather than to take without regard and that wants a purpose beyond themselves. Most significantly, having watched the morass left by a government and corporations that often act out of greed rather than morality, these professionals want to express their values where they work and where they live. They will in fact live their beliefs.
TMR Group, Inc. serves this new cohort of graduate- level professionals. But, our participants also have spiritual needs that we seek to fulfill as they develop educationally and professionally. Our approach is multidimensional. We encourage our program participants to pursue purpose-driven careers—even in the secular community—and Christian leadership in the United States and throughout the world.
Our History
In 2003, TMR Group, Inc. was borne of a vision to positively impact the world through education, business and community for this generation. Through our MBADiversity organization, with a prep program and professional membership, TMR Group, Inc. sought to successfully prepare prospective culturally-diverse business school applicants and ultimately encourage these young people to use their business skills for positive change in society.
Over five years, MBADiversity cultivated a successful and multicultural pool of over 2000 young professionals prepared for business school.
By 2007, TMR Group Inc.’s founder and executive director envisioned GradPrep as a broader program for potential graduate students of any discipline. She also hoped to foster a spiritual birth or renewal in its participants. Furthermore, she envisioned expanding the spectrum of TMR Group, Inc.’s alliances to include Christian churches and parachurch organizations. On September 23, 2010 GradPrep finally manifested from concept to reality with its complete website and current service model.
Through MBADiversity and its sister, The Global Graduate Preparatory Program [GradPrep], TMR Group, Inc. exists to cultivate graduate-level professionals who will use their degrees, talents and skills to glorify God by submitting to His Will for their lives.
